Hi Friends!

This is make sure that you have next Tuesday, August 20 marked on your calendar.  This is when the MHC Quarterly Meeting will be held in our beautiful Frederick County at the New Market Grange Hall (South Alley & 7th Alley). This is hosted by the Frederick County Equine Alliance. We will begin at 6pm with time to socialize and network then the meeting will begin promptly at 7pm.  Among the topics to be discussed will be
   "Safe Sundays" regarding legislation for deer hunting on Sundays
   Manure compost facilities to help us stay in compliance with new water quality regs.
   New Ag Certainty Law
   Howard County zoning rewrite
plus reports from the different committees working to keep the horse industry in our state strong.

There will also be details about the upcoming MHC Annual BBQ to be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Steuart Pittman's beautiful Dodon Farm.  There will also be wine tasting for those interested at the new Dodon Winery that is there on the farm.  Be sure to mark your calendar for this event - it is always a great time!
